Today at work, someone touched an interesting topic that made me, for one moment reconsider my perspective on the theories of evolution and creation.

His argument was "Even if you could take every aminoacid, nucleotid, enzyme and all the molecules that build up an organism and put them all together, it would not live....you know?!! So, there has to be a master plan behind all that, there has to be something else, it could not have happened on its own"... Or so I remember it xd.
And I believe I may be able to agree with him, in a certain way. Recalling what I have learned in molecular biology; telomeres or the long tails of the chromosomes break down little by little over the lifetime, thus allowing the body cells to regenerate and consequently keeping us all young and handsome;until these fragments are short enough to not being able to divide any longer; cells do not regenerate as efficiently and tissues 'age' as we do, until we die.
But what If we took the body of an old person who has just died and could replace these telomeres.
Will its cells regenerate again? Will this person come back to life?!!. Most likely not, for there is something missing, an 'energy' (as my physics professor used to call it and I can not believe I still remember his story about how he came up to that conclusion) we are ignorant about.
A 'vital force'we know nothing but what writers and preachers imagine and have come up to, thus making of it something we have all learned to believe in.

My buddy, he is some sort of a believer; but still a science guy, and that has almost cost him his job.
Actually, I think of myself as a facultative future scientist, that meaning that I prefer science over anything, but do not require it for it is true that there are things science alone can not explain.
