Retirement is the stage in life most of us would like to get to; for it comes with certain benefits. Monthly checks are an excellent example of this; marking the end of our laboral lives and working being one less thing to concern about;Furthermore, various agencies have created programs designed for retired people and businesses, such as, restaurants, jewelries, retail stores and so forth offer discounts for the eldest. Knowing this, you may want to walk around and see for yourself what your community has to offer; Especially, once you have retired.
Secondly, you may start to reconsider the definition of "free time". When you age you have plenty of time to continue doing the things you like, or giving yourself a chance to explore things you never thought about. You name it. "Age is not an excuse" said a man I know from college. He decided at his advanced age that he wanted to go to college and get a new degree. After working for more than 40 years for the IBM, he has decided to pursue a Biology major. Certainly, a man who does not believe in the impossibility of the possible. Moreover, going to college is not the only thing. Some seniors have also found the chance to ship themselves into world-wide travels. Statistically, the number of seniors purchasing airplane and cruise tickets has increased nearly by 40% in comparison to that of the last 10 years; travel agencies explain.
In conclusion, there is an analogy that states "teenagers have the time and the energy, but they do not have the money. Adults have the money and the energy, but they lack the time. Finally, old people have the money and the time, but they do not have the energy".....Or so they think.
Do not give up and start living up, for you are not done with life yet.
