Once upon a time, there lived a girl and a boy. They were as average as anybody else, and there was not much particular in them per se, except that, one time, on a spring night in 2013, they would come across the 100% perfect website.
Excuse me! I know it is too soon, but I need to make a pause; this is important. Because it is my first time narrating, and because it is more manageable to story-tell when seeing through one person's eyes, I am forced to take sides with the boy, for I am not omnipresent, and I have known him for as long as I can remember. But keep calm! I can be untalented, unbrilliant, unadult, unwilling; anything but unfair. I shall do my best to show you how both their stories intertwined.
Now, were was I? Oh, yes! I am sorry. Please don't fire me.
*Clears throat*
As for the site itself, it featured people, from all ages and places; each and every one of them always "fishing" for the interest of those willing to exchange anything, from e-mails, to letters, memories or stories. Especially of those who, like him, like her, considered it was time to start something new and trust, once more, the splendor of beginnings.
These people, all seemed to sparkle the interest of these two young characters, in different ways. Thus the boy, went on without hesitation, and with a real desire to evoke something similar in others, began typing.
Nonetheless, he would soon wonder how did they manage to write about themselves as if it were child's play. He knew writing, especially about himself, had always been tedious and pointless.
I wish I remembered what he wrote, knew how long it took him, or how many people came past it, but one thing he told me—it worked. It only took a few days before it reached her, the girl.
The girl casually introduced herself . She said her name was Marika, told him she was sixteen, and unobtrusively asked if the boy desired to be friends with her. He might have been a boy of few words, but I never needed him to tell what I had been able to induce myself, and that is he would never regret answering "Of course."
